Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich (Atoms For Peace) have offered up their take on Four Tet’s Pyramid, and it sounds absolutely fucking incredible. Four Tet, who recently dropped an entire album’s worth of material for free, has just shared another new track entitled For These Times. For These Times opens with some pretty heavy bass, before Kieren Hebden brings in some edgy vocal samples and a pretty smoldering beat. Download Four Tet’s recent 0181 mix here for free too.
Kieran Hebden’s latest project is a collaboration with London-based electronic duo RocketNumberNine. The outcome of this collaboration in an eight-minute long track entitled Roseland. According to Hebden’s Twitter account, Roseland was produced by Eglo Recordings boss Floating Points: “live take, no edits. Big respect to him for the sound”.
