Shlohmo & Jeremih – Bo Peep (Do U Right)

For the latest installment of Yours Truly & Adidas Songs from Scratch series, L.A. beats producer Shlohmo and Chicago R&B artist Jeremih laid down a pretty amazing track entitled Bo Peep (Do u right). This is a pairing the works on so many levels, and they’ve just thrown out one of the most addictive tracks I’ve heard in a long time. Stream and download below.

Keep Shelly In Athens – Madmen Love

Last year Sarah P collaborated with The New Division on their stunning single Night Escape and her vocals on that track literally blew me away. This morning I discovered the news that her band, Keep Shelly In Athens, will finally release their debut LP this July through Cascine Records. Their latest single Madmen Love sees the band displaying their darker side. Starting off rather ominously with some distorted instrumentals before Sarah P’s familiar vocals take command, it’s another stellar release by a really consistent band.

The Athens-based duo have already released two excellent EP’s that are worth checking out if you haven’t already.

World’s Most – Big Ideas

World’s Most is Matthew Müller, Matthew Müller is World’s Most.”

California native Matthew Müller, who describes his music as Indie, Pop, Dreamy, Shoegaze, Sunshine, has a real diamond of a track out called ‘Big Ideas’. I downloaded the track from his Bandcamp page about an hour ago and I’ve had it on repeat since. Smooth vocals, great pop hooks and clever songwriting. It’s just a really, really brilliant song.

Dream Koala – Ocean

Paris-based 18 year old Dream Koala recently made a few waves by playing the London Boiler Room with Flume, and he’s now dropped a new tune called ‘Ocean’. It’s a dreamy and melodic track with some really hypnotic vocal arrangements. Very promising stuff. Stream and download below.

Tiger Waves – Fields

Tiger Waves, who never cease to floor me with their music, have another excellent new track out which Earmilk recently premiered. ‘Fields’ is the title of their new track and it follows their previous releases ‘Countryside’ and ‘Weekends’, which was one of my favourite singles of 2012. Full of rich melodies and gentle guitar playing, these guys could give Fleet Foxes a serious run for their money.
