Johnny Jewel – Windswept

Johnny Jewel has announced his forthcoming new album Windswept will be released on May 10 via his Italians Do It Better label.

As revealed by Alexis Rivera of Echo Park Record, the 14-track effort is out this month on Italians Do It Better. It features music Jewel wrote for the upcoming Twin Peaks revival, as well as new tunes from Chromatics and Desire. The album also features collaborations with Glass Candy, Heaven, and Symmetry.

Chromatics were slated to release a new full-length album, titled Dear Tommy, in 2015. Despite several songs from the album being released, the album was unfortunately never fully released. Jewel’s manager, Alexis Rivera, revealed yesterday in a series of tweets that Jewel had a near-death experience in Hawaii on Christmas Day 2015 and afterwards he destroyed all copies of Dear Tommy in order to re-record it to better capture the sound he was going for.
