Helen – Motorcycle

Helen, the Oregan-based dream-pop outfit fronted by Grouper‘s Liz Harris, have just announced that they’ll be releasing their debut album on September 4 through Kranky. The group which also features Eternal Tapestry’s Jed Bindeman and Scott Simmons originally put out two singles, Felt This Way and Dying All the Time back in 2013 but have not released anything since.

According to a press release, the band “originally started with the intention of being a thrash band, it turned into something else entirely. The Original Faces was recorded over a period of several years in Portland by the band members, their friends Nick, Chris and, largely, Justin Higgins. The record was written together, with some songs based on Liz and Scott’s demos.”

This week, Helen finally released a new single, called Motorcycle, that is part of their upcoming debut. Listen to Motorcycle below.
